My life is definitely a collision of worlds. I am a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for 20 hours a week, where I take care of the smallest, sickest babies you can imagine. I go home from the hospital to a century old farm in central Illinois where my husband and I keep a flock of 25 to 50 natural colored sheep. And then, I write (two books so far, one published in 2006 and one out in 2009). I’m thinking about wearing different hats to cue me in to which role I’m in at any given time.
